Game Gazette was founded in August 2008 by gaming fan Justin Dillihay (even though he’s more widly know as “darkpower” on the internet). Game Gazette’s mission is to not only report the news fairly and accurately, but to also leave no stone unturned, and to be ready to take action for the gamers.

Game Gazette not only hosts news, but also a section labeled “Media Watch”, which calls out video gaming websites for biased reporting of gaming facts and figures. It nearly always carries a sarcastic tone to the articles (even though it can become serious in nature sometimes), and though the reasoning and opinions are serious, the ways that GG goes about expressing them is just to cause a laugh at the expense of the person being called out. The Media Watch has become a popular feature on the site and has been a main reason why GG has succeeded so far. This sarcastic way of doing things has carried over into news reporting and also to our blogs.

Of course, we know not everyone will agree with our opinions, which is why we welcome others opinions by comments in our articles and by our new forums. We welcome all opinions, gamers and fanboys alike.

Game Gazette hopes to continue to be the resource for fair reporting and for the calling out of others that don’t do so.
